Bringing Advanced Manufacturing technologies to life

ABB is a technology leader in electrification and automation. The company’s 105,000 employees and solutions connect engineering know-how and software to optimize how things are manufactured, moved, powered and operated.

ABB constructed the Digital Manufacturing Ireland facility, an industry-led national organisation that enables Irish-based manufacturers to access, adopt and accelerate new digital technologies solving real-world challenges and driving future competitiveness.

POP was tasked with creating an interactive experience within the facility for customers to explore the facility and learn more about the advanced technologies on display.

Immersive technologies

The interactive experience, which runs on touchscreens and video walls throughout the facility, uses a 3D CAD model of the factory to give customers an accurate representation of the factory to explore.

Customers can dive into different areas depending upon their interests in specific technologies and explore deeper content.

Through the POP Experience Management System, the team can add new content and update locations in the 3D model in minutes giving them complete control over the interactive experiences.

Even down to customising content for specific customers when they visit the facility.
