A £26bn economy. Over 25,000 new jobs. And £2bn of annual government support up for grabs. Just some of the numbers behind the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership’s Strategic Economic Plan.
Big plans need big support – and that meant convincing people who are not easily swayed. The West of England LEP approached JBP PR and POPcomms to evolve a promotional document that would match the plan’s scale and ambition, helping to attract both private investors and government funding.
We identified the plan’s key messages and then mined a range of supporting data and facts. Armed with these we created a visually stunning document and supporting map, loaded with an array of infographics, arresting images and persuasive copy. The document showcased, in the best light possible, the West of England’s strengths, successes and future opportunities, while outlining the LEP’s role in delivering economic growth. The map anchored those stories geographically, while also highlighting future opportunity locations – thus creating positive associations between past success and future possibility.
In 2015, the map and policy document spearheaded the strategy’s unveiling in The House of Commons. Such was its success that we’re now working with JBP PR, the LEP and four local councils, evolving creative communications for their 20-year Joint Strategic Plan.

"We have commissioned POPcomms on a number of key client projects and been extremely happy with the service and results.
More importantly so have our clients."
